Waco Honoring Heisman Winner RGIII and Baylor Football this weekend - January 14, 2012

on Thursday, 12 January 2012. Posted in To Do in Waco

The Cotton Palace still has a few rooms available for those wanting to attend the big Baylor celebration this weekend. Baylor Nation has been invited to salute coach Art Briles' 2011 Bears and Heisman winner - RGIII - at a season-ending pep rally on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m., in the Ferrell Center.

The event is free and open to the public. The Ferrell Center doors will open at 6 p.m., with the program scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

All fans attending the championship celebration will also receive a free commemorative 2011 Baylor football poster and following the program, will be allowed to take their picture with the Heisman Trophy and the Bears' Valero Alamo Bowl championship trophy on the arena floor.

Besides attending the celebration - you might want to see the #4 nationally ranked Baylor Men's basketball team take on Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. at the Ferrell Center. Another good reason to be in Waco at The Cotton Palace B & B this weekend.
